Denver CBD maker Caliper is entering the convenience channel with its line of dissolvable powders in 600 Texas Circle K outlets.
The distribution deal announced this week is Caliper’s first foray into the convenience channel and brings Caliper to 1,000 retail locations. The gas stations will sell Caliper two-packs of dissolvable CBD powders that can be added to any food or beverage.
Caliper General Manager Nicole Maione called the powders a natural fit for convenience stores. She said in a statement that dissolvable CBD powder is “designed for on-the-go relief at an on-the-go price point.”
Circle K is owned by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., a retail network based in Laval, Quebec, Canada. Couche-Tard operates about 9,900 c-stores in North America, approximately 5,900 in the United States and the rest in Canada. It also operates or licenses convenience stores in 22 other countries or territories worldwide.
The Circle K chain is making increasing moves in the CBD space, adding ingestible forms as well as topicals, vapes and smokable hemp in various locations.
