Denver CBD maker Caliper is entering the convenience channel with its line of dissolvable powders in 600 Texas Circle K outlets.
The distribution deal announced this week is Caliper’s first foray into the convenience channel and brings Caliper to 1,000 retail locations. The gas stations will sell Caliper two-packs of dissolvable CBD powders that can be added to any food or beverage.
Caliper General Manager Nicole Maione called the powders a natural fit for convenience stores. She said in a statement that dissolvable CBD powder is “designed for on-the-go relief at an on-the-go price point.”
Circle K is owned by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., a retail network based in Laval, Quebec, Canada. Couche-Tard operates about 9,900 c-stores in North America, approximately 5,900 in the United States and the rest in Canada. The Circle K chain is making increasing moves in the CBD space, adding ingestible forms as well as topicals, vapes and smokable hemp in various locations.
