CV Sciences taps dietary supplement expert to oversee compliance

CV Sciences, a San Diego CBD manufacturer, has lured a former dietary supplement executive to oversee its research and regulatory compliance.
Douglas MacKay will oversee hemp-based CBD product development as Senior Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs.
MacKay was formerly a vice president with the Council for Responsible Nutrition, a trade association representing dietary supplement and functional food manufacturers and ingredients suppliers.
“His background and leadership capabilities make him the ideal person to lead our scientific and regulatory team,” CV Sciences CEO Joseph Dowling said in a news release.
CV Sciences trades on the Nasdaq as CVSI.
