Two Florida cannabis laboratories merge hemp and CBD customers with new acquisition

ACS Laboratory, a chain of federally licensed and ISO-accredited marijuana and hemp laboratories based in Tampa, Florida, has acquired another Florida-based, certified hemp and CBD testing laboratory, expanding its national presence to 44 states.
The purchase of Botanica Testing Inc., headquartered in Gainesville, brings 500 new hemp and CBD clients, according to a company statement. The purhcase price was not disclosed.
The deal expands ACS Laboratory’s reach in the hemp and CBD market, providing hemp testing options from pre-planting through post-production.
The company will continue to extend its reach through future acquisitions, according to Roger Brown, President of ACS Laboratory.
“We are currently in discussions with leading hemp and cannabis laboratories throughout the country,” Brown said.
“The Botanica agreement is the first step in a large journey to acquire reputable companies across the United States.”
ACS Laboratory is licensed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and accredited by the international standards body ISO, the Agency for Health Care Administration and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.
The laboratory uses ultra-high performance, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry technology in its proprietary testing methodologies.
