A California company that sells coffee to cruise lines and grocery stores says its subsidiary that makes single-serve CBD coffee pods is extending distribution in grocery stores, a hedge as cruise-ship sales have halted because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Youngevity International of Chula Vista, California, announced Monday that its Javalution Hemp Coffee line has extended its coffee supply contract through 2022 with some 200 Save Mart Supermarkets, mostly in California.
Youngevity’s subsidiary Khrysos Industries makes the CBD-infused coffees in Florida. The coffee pods deliver 10 milligrams of CBD per cup. The CBD isolate comes largely from hemp grown in Colorado and Oregon, with the coffee coming from Youngevity’s farm in Nicaragua and other locations.
Youngevity CFO Dave Briskie told Hemp Industry Daily that the company’s grocery-store revenue is up significantly, while its business selling coffee to cruise lines including Carnival and Norwegian has stopped during the coronavirus pandemic.
Youngevity trades on the Nasdaq as YGYI.
