CBD manufacturers in the Southeast and Mountain West are merging to increase market penetration and align production.
RE Botanicals of Boulder, Colorado, and Palmetto Harmony of Conway, South Carolina, announced the merger Monday.
The new company is called RE Botanicals, though Palmetto Harmony will remain a brand name of CBD capsules, tinctures, topicals, vape oils and other products. RE Botanicals makes CBD topicals and tinctures under the brand name Pure Organic Hemp Apothecary.
Terms of the merger were not disclosed. Both companies are privately held.
RE Botanicals CEO John Roulac will remain CEO. Palmetto Harmony’s Janel Ralph will become RE Botanicals’ new COO.
Roulac told Hemp Industry Daily that the merger increases the company’s organic production capacity in the Southeast and brings together brands that promote regenerative agriculture.
