Beer giant Molson Coors has set a December date to roll out a line of CBD-infused beverages in Canada with partner Hexo Corp.
The portfolio of drinks hitting shelves in Canada will be called Flow Glow and start with two flavors with 10 milligrams each of CBD:
- Goji+Grapefruit
- Raspberry+Lemon
The companies also plan to roll out some THC-infused beverages in Canada but hasn’t announced specifics.
Molson Coors Canada and Hexo, a Quebec cannabis producer, started the joint venture called Truss Beverage Co. in January to develop a line of cannabis drinks. Molson Coors Canada took a 57.5% stake in Truss.
Truss’ December distribution announcement comes soon after rival beer-cannabis company Fluent Beverage – a joint venture between the world’s largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and cannabis producer Tilray – said it was launching CBD drinks as early as December through subsidiary Labatt Breweries of Canada.
Fluent didn’t have specific products or a launch date.
Hexo trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange.
