CBD continues to mainstream as a grocery store chain in the South has picked up distribution of a hemp-derived extract and a national supplement... CV Sciences expands distribution to Harris Teeter, The Vitamin Shoppe

CBD continues to mainstream as a grocery store chain in the South has picked up distribution of a hemp-derived extract and a national supplement retailer expanded its product range.

Harris Teeter, based in Matthews, North Carolina, announced Tuesday it will distribute PlusCBD Oil, manufactured by San Diego-based hemp and CBD company CV Sciences, in 150 stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida and Maryland.

The expansion brings CV Sciences’ distribution of its topical balms and roll-ons to more than 5,400 retail locations throughout the U.S., including CVS Pharmacy and Kroger Co.

Harris Teeter is a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger.

In September, CV Sciences also began selling PlusCBD Oil products at 383 Vitamin Shoppe stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

The Vitamin Shoppe added CV Sciences’ products to its range of hemp and CBD products, including the brand’s topical balm and roll-ons, as well as full spectrum hemp extracts including softgels, formula drops and complex sprays and capsules.
