A White House official said “no action is being considered at this time” on marijuana reform, though then President-elect Donald Trump and his transition team quietly and unsuccessfully pushed Congress to include cannabis banking provisions in a spending bill late last year, according to CNN.

The Florida Office of Election Crimes & Security sent a cease and desist letter to a marijuana legalization campaign over “multiple election law violations” and has referred the matter to the Department of Law Enforcement for a “potential criminal investigation.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation denied the Delaware Office of the Marijuana Commissioner’s reconsideration request for a service code needed to conduct background checks of cannabis industry workers, leaving state officials scrambling to amend state law to avoid further delay in launching the adult-use market.

Hawaii lawmakers sent Gov. Josh Green (D) a bill to speed the process of expunging marijuana records under a pilot program that was enacted last year.

The New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee rejected House-passed bills to legalize marijuana, to allow medical cannabis patients to grow their own medicine and to let dispensaries sell hemp products.

The Maine legislature’s Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee held a hearing on a bill to legalize possession of psilocybin, with law enforcement groups testifying against the measure.

The Indiana House Roads and Transportation Committee adopted an amendment to ban all marijuana advertising within state lines, going beyond a billboard-specific cannabis promotion prohibition approved by a Senate panel last week.

The Connecticut legislature’s Judiciary Committee held a hearing on a bill to let police pull over drivers if they observe suspected marijuana consumption and detect the odor of burnt cannabis.

Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) tweeted, “In many respects, the United States has fallen behind the rest of the world when it comes to sensible cannabis policy. It was an honor to address the Global Cannabis @regsummit and share what I am working on as new Co-Chair of the Cannabis Caucus.”

Former Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) tweeted, for April Fool’s, “I’m pleased to announce that @ElonMusk has appointed me to lead the new Department of Government Analysis for National Joint Advancement. Excited to help the DOGANJA team weed-out corruption, develop green initiatives, & make respect our highest priority.”

A spokesperson for New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said the state’s acting top marijuana regulator has done a good job and she will announce a nominee to fill the role on a permanent basis “at the appropriate time.”

Ohio’s House speaker and the chair of the House Finance Committee said they will strip Gov. Mike DeWine’s (R) proposed increase of marijuana taxes from budget legislation.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that CBD oil can qualify as covered ‘medicines and supplies” under workers’ compensation laws.

Missouri regulators published revised guidance about online marijuana advertising.

Colorado regulators issued a bulletin responding to allegations about enforcement priorities.

Massachusetts regulators are continuing to discuss draft rules for cannabis social consumption areas.

Illinois regulators extended the deadline for cannabis product registration updates.

Washington State marijuana regulators launched a new online licensing portal.

Montana regulators posted a reminder about safe ways of celebrating 4/20 this year.

The New Hampshire Therapeutic Cannabis Medical Oversight Board will meet on Wednesday.
