Spend time with folks who enjoy cannabis’ effects, and you’re bound to notice that nearly everybody has a different consumption tolerance.

While some people may smoke a whole joint and be functional, others may get super high off of just a puff or two. Some regular consumers will eat an infused candy with a very high concentration of cannabis. In contrast, others are satisfied eating a 2.5mg gummy.

Read on for techniques to determine the correct dosage for an enjoyable cannabis experience.

What Makes Some Super Users and Others Lightweights?

The simple answer is that we’re humans, and everybody’s body chemistry is different. It’s similar to drinking alcohol, where one person has to down a six-pack of beer to feel drunk while their friend gets a pleasant-enough buzz off a single can. Age, gender, experience, and genetics can all play a role, according to experts.

From a technical perspective, the answer lies with the endocannabinoid system, or ECS, which is just now being seriously studied by scientists. So far, we know that the ECS regulates appetite, memory, sleep, mood, and possibly even fertility. Cannabinoids like THC bind with receptors in the ECS, creating a different effect for everybody.

The most straightforward answer, though, could depend on the strain you’re smoking

High-THC strains are becoming more and more popular. The five top strains at cannabis-enthusiast-focused website Flavor Fix all have THC rates that clock in at 20% or higher. From the 1960s to the 1980s, according to government studies, most cannabis had THC content below 2%.

This isn’t your dad’s weed you’re smoking.

Finding the Right Dose

How do you determine the proper dosage for a flower or even an infused edible that may not have a particular strain attached? Kind of a good news-bad news thing there.

Bad news first: You will have to do some research and sampling. Sure, you can take somebody’s advice. But you don’t know that person’s consumption habits, tolerance, or genetic disposition.

The good news: Today’s technology has made it easy and relatively affordable to track your right dose using sensors, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and an app on your phone.

Right Cannabis Dosage
Photo: Tyson Anderson via 123RF

It all starts with picking out your strain. You can use databases like Flavor Fix to read up before you buy a product. Take Apple Jack, for example. Flavor Fix gives it a 9.5 “expert score.” What does that mean to you? Probably nothing.

But keep reading the review, and you’ll learn that Apple Jack apparently tastes like Golden Delicious apples. Maybe that’s enough for you to give it a shot! But it also tastes like “earthy cheese.” Perhaps that’s not as appealing. Keep scrolling.

Apple Jack typically has a THC level of about 20%, according to the site, and 2% CBD. That’s on the low end of today’s popular THC spectrum and high on the CBD side. That likely means you’re in for a mellow experience — once you’ve figured it out.

And Flavor Fix continues on to describe Apple Jack’s effects as “intensely euphoric, mood-lifting, and pain relieving.”

Next, go to your local cannabis dispensary and buy the smallest amount of flower they’ll sell you. This could be a gram or an eighth of an ounce. Roll your joint or pack your bowl, and puff once or twice. Give it about five minutes and see how you feel.

At this point, you’ll have a good idea of what dose of this one particular strain it takes to achieve your desired effects. Unfortunately, you’ll have to start over if you don’t care for the taste and effects.

Tech Products Help

If you want to get wonky, check out gadgets like The Mode device by Vapor Dosing Technologies or Firefly 2+. This tech allows you to vape flower and/or concentrates. It will also typically connect to an app or other device and allow you to track the amount of cannabis you’ve consumed and the max temperature.

Unfortunately, these devices won’t help you figure out your edibles dosage. To determine the appropriate dosage for you when it comes to infused products like candies or cookies, start low. A 2.5mg dose is becoming the universally accepted starting point for edibles and a good “microdose” level.

And because edibles can take an hour to kick in, you’ll have to practice even more patience.

But like all virtues, that patience will pay off when you don’t have a negative experience.

And luckily, there is technology on the edibles side, too – mostly tech that helps the high kick in faster. Try a gummy labeled as “fast-acting” (and ask your budtender about it) if you want to move along quickly.

The post Why Does Marijuana Smell Like a Skunk? appeared first on The Cannifornian.

It wasn’t long ago that a distinct, sulfury skunk-like odor seeping through your car’s air vents likely meant one thing: a skunk. The mammal is known for its protective, foul-smelling anal spray—was nearby, possibly hit by a car on the highway.

But over the past 10 years, 18 U.S. states have legalized the sale and use of recreational cannabis (and nearly 40 have some form of medical marijuana). So, it’s just as likely that the “skunky” odor you smell driving through certain areas is coming from a new kind of source: a legal marijuana grow.

Do People Like Their Marijuana to Smell Like a Skunk?

Yes, the cannabis plant is known—and even celebrated—for its distinctive skunky odor. You can find references to the pungent smell in marijuana strain names like Skunkberry, White Super Skunk, and Thelonious Skunk.

And you can find references to it in lyrics by famous cannabis enthusiasts like the rap trio Cypress Hill.

“Skunk” strains are celebrated for their relaxation-inducing mellow and heavy highs, which many people believe help with mood disorders and anxiety.

But what exactly causes your weed to smell like a skunk? Well, thanks to nearly a century of federal cannabis prohibition making most studies of the plant illegal, we don’t know for sure. But experts do have some ideas—and some of those theories involve one of beer’s most essential ingredients: hops.

Photo: skodonnell via gettyimages.com

Photo: skodonnell via gettyimages.com

The Theories

Terpenes: Terpenes are a relatively new area of focus for most cannabis companies and producers. Terpenes are natural compounds found mostly in plants. They, among other things, produce smells and affect pigment and coloration. And you could say they’re universal: The same terpenes that make a lemon smell like lemon are likely the same terpenes that make your Super Lemon Haze strain smell like a lemon.

There’s a growing understanding within the world of cannabis that the old indica-sativa way of thinking about the effects of the cannabis plant is flawed at best and inaccurate at worst. Instead, “The Entourage Effect” concept is picking up steam. The concept posits that a combination of cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, THC, etc.) and terpenes are really what cause the unique smell, look, and effect of each cannabis strain.

Another intoxicant that Americans love to consume and sometimes refer to as “skunky” (though usually not in a good way) is beer. And beer is full of hops, which are genetically related to the cannabis plant, falling in the same plant family, called Cannabaceae.

Experts frequently point to one terpene, myrcene, as having a particularly skunky smell—and it’s found in certain cannabis strains in addition to hops.

“While not all strains with myrcene smell like skunks, it’s a common trait—and one that stoners have grown to love,” explained Herbert Fuego, the columnist for “Ask a Stoner,” a feature in Denver’s Westword alt-weekly.

But a growing body of scientific evidence is pointing to a different culprit.

Thiols: Thiols are alcohol-like chemical compounds, except with a sulfur atom in place of the oxygen atom. They’re also the primary cause of a skunk’s defensive stench, according to 1980s research referenced by Discover Magazine.

A 2001 study by the University of Northern Carolina and Belgium’s University of Gent found that 3-MBT, a thiol similar to one emitted by skunks, causes beer to get that skunky persona. That particular thiol was found in the hops used to make the beer.

Thomas H. Shellhammer, a professor of fermentation science at Oregon State University, told Discover that the minute a beer is exposed to ultraviolet light—like sunlight—a chemical reaction occurs that quickly creates the sulfury thiol.

“If you walk outside with a nice yellow beer like a pilsner on a summer day, the change is happening almost immediately,” Shellhammer told Discover.

And the thiol theory got some serious backing in a recent peer-reviewed study by California-based terpene research and production company Abstrax Tech.

Using a technology called 2-Dimensional gas chromatography (or 2DGC) the researchers found “key volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs)—organic compounds containing sulfur” and thiols as the primary cause of the skunky smell in cannabis, according to a press release announcing the findings. The study says these compounds are actually similar to VSCs found in garlic.

“I have suspected for years now that we were missing something in our understanding of this plant,” study co-author and cannabis industry veteran Josh Del Rosso said in the release. “Although terpenes have been hailed as the major source of the pungent scent of cannabis, we now know that it is this new class of VSCs.”

So whether it’s terpenes, thiols, key volatile sulfur compounds or something else yet to be discovered, the age-old question of, “Why does my weed smell like a skunk?” has a growing body of science to be explored.

— Try Tribe’s CBD Diamondback Cocktail

The Diamondback may sound like a rootin’-tootin’ cocktail for cowboys, but it actually hails from the East Coast. In fact, the Diamondback refers to a lounge in Maryland’s luxurious Lord Baltimore Hotel. While the Diamondback might not be the best-known cocktail on the books, it’s a tremendous old-timey drink with a funky apple-forward flavor.

To kick the Diamondback into the 21st century, we’re going to add a pinch of Tribe CBD oil. One dropperful of our high-quality CBD is enough to ensure you have a smooth and serene experience.

CBD Diamondback Cocktail Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Diamondback Cocktail

Since the Diamondback’s main spirit is rye whiskey, it’s often compared with the Old Fashioned. Indeed, some people go so far as to claim this drink is a clever riff on the more famous standard cocktail.

Despite these claims, there’s some dispute over which garnish to use in this cocktail. Some sites use Luxardo cherries, while others opt for an orange peel.

Since the Old Fashioned has an orange peel, this may be the more “authentic” choice for your Diamondback. However, please feel free to use whichever garnish you think best compliments this drink.

By the way, you can find Tribe’s CBD Old Fashioned recipe on this post.

Ingredients

• 1 oz rye whiskey
• ½ oz applejack
• ½ oz yellow chartreuse
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
• Luxardo cherry or orange peel

Directions

• Pour rye whiskey, applejack, and yellow chartreuse into an Old Fashioned glass
• Add one large ice cube and stir
• Top with Tribe CBD oil
• Garnish with orange peel or Luxardo cherry, if desired

Chartreuse is a curious ingredient in the world of cocktails. Named after a mountain range in France, this herbal liqueur contains a mysterious mix of local botanicals and herbs. Indeed, the monks who “created” the recipe for chartreuse supposedly used an obscure alchemical text.

Interestingly, the chartreuse you see in today’s liquor stores isn’t the original formula. Both green and yellow chartreuse are renditions of the original liqueur. While the first formula is still available, it’s a bit tougher to find. Also, considering both green and yellow chartreuse are mild compared with authentic chartreuse, it’s safe to assume the original doesn’t taste so hot.

The major differences between green and yellow chartreuse are taste and ABV. Generally speaking, yellow chartreuse is the sweeter and less-boozy option; hence, it’s easier to blend into mixed drinks. However, there are a few famous cocktails that take advantage of green chartreuse’s herbal notes. For instance, check out Tribe’s Last Word cocktail for some green chartreuse inspiration.

How Potent Is Tribe’s CBD Oil?

With three alcoholic ingredients, there’s no question the Diamondback packs a punch. But just how potent is Tribe’s CBD oil? Well, Tribe CBD currently offers two potencies for our popular CBD oil tincture: 900 mg and 3000 mg.

Since everyone has a different CBD tolerance, it’s difficult to say which potency is right for you. Anyone new to CBD should start with the lowest recommended dose and gradually work their way up. We’d also recommend recording your daily milligram count to figure out your perfect CBD dosage.

Tribe’s CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail

Still served by the gallons at Wimbledon, Pimm’s Cup is one of England’s finest summertime cocktails. But you don’t have to be a British subject to sip this centuries-old mix. With just a few simple ingredients, even a Yank can crank out Pimm’s most popular punch.

Of course, Tribe couldn’t resist putting a dab of our high-quality CBD oil into this storied cocktail. We know, this inclusion goes against tradition. However, once people feel CBD’s effects, we doubt any “Pimm’s purists” will protest.

CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail Recipe

CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail

Although muddling isn’t a requirement with this cocktail, it will add a lot of flavor to your Pimm’s Cup. If you love intense sweetness and earthiness, consider muddling half of your fresh fruits and herbs in a cocktail shaker. After a light muddle, add ice, shake, and strain into your highball glass.

Just remember not to tear your ingredients to shreds as you use your muddler. As we mentioned in our Gin Basil Smash recipe, there’s a fine line between releasing essential oils and blistering your herbs.

If you happen to tear your mint leaves, it will give off an unpleasant “grassy” taste. While you may get to show off those biceps while muddling this way, your guests won’t be impressed with your cocktail’s flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pimm’s No. 1
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ~ 4 oz ginger ale
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
  • Mint sprig
  • Assorted berries, sliced apples, or orange wedges
  • Sliced cucumbers

Directions

  • Add ice to a highball glass
  • Pour Pimm’s No. 1 and lemon juice
  • Add enough ginger ale to top your glass
  • Drizzle a dropperful of Tribe CBD oil on top
  • Garnish with mint, cucumbers, and your choice of fruit

Since Pimm’s has been around for centuries, those ingenious Brits have had plenty of time to come up with dozens of cocktail variations. Arguably, the best-known substitution for a Pimm’s Cup is using sparkling lemonade rather than ginger ale and lemon juice.

For those who want to be extra fancy, you’ve got to splurge on a bottle of bubbly! People who use champagne in their Pimm’s Cup are technically enjoying the “royal” rendition.

Lastly, although we haven’t seen it mentioned too often, why not add a little “Italian flair” with DIY limoncello? You can find out how to make incredible limoncello in this previous Tribe CBD blog post

Got Tennis Elbow? Try Tribe’s CBD Cream

Wherever you enjoy working out, your muscles will feel sore from time to time. Arguably, the trendiest way to handle post-workout soreness is to apply a generous dab of a CBD topical. Indeed, we’ve heard from many athletes on social media who love using Tribe’s CBD cooling gel

So, if you need a little help staying “in the game,” be sure to add Tribe’s cooling gel to your gym bag.

While turmeric is today’s “rockstar rhizome,” that doesn’t mean ginger root is any less incredible. Indeed, you’ve probably seen dozens of hot ginger shots pop up in your supermarket’s fridge section recently. Anyone who wants a spicy start to their day can’t do better than cold-pressed ginger juice!

Tribe’s Spicy CBD Ginger Shot

CBD Ginger Shot Recipe

Not everyone is on the same page when it comes to peeling ginger. While some chefs claim peeled ginger has a better flavor, most say peeling is a waste of time. Since ginger’s skin is so thin, it won’t significantly alter this root’s flavor.

Generally speaking, peeling ginger is more of an aesthetic issue than a health concern. As long as you wash and scrub your ginger before using it, there’s no harm leaving the skin on (as long as it’s not super old or moldy, of course!).

However, if you prefer to work with peeled ginger, you should use a spoon to take off that skin. No matter how skilled you are with a knife, you will waste a lot of precious ginger pulp with this kitchen tool. Only a sturdy spoon can get rid of that skin while preserving the majority of your bright yellow ginger.

Ingredients

• ¼ cup of chopped ginger
• ¼ cup of lemon juice
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil

Directions

• Put your ginger and lemon juice in a food processor and blitz until smooth.
• Place the pulverized ginger in a cheesecloth and squeeze into a shot glass.
• Add Tribe CBD oil as a garnish.

If you’re planning a cruise in the ensuing months, here’s a pro tip: bring some ginger tea with you. For centuries, sailors have known about ginger’s incredible ability to ward off seasickness. But you don’t have to take their word for it. There are now multiple scientific studies that show ginger works just as well as anti-nausea pills.

In fact, one Iranian trial found that taking ginger capsules was as effective as the migraine medication sumatriptan. Researchers in Vitoria, Spain, also claim ginger shows tremendous anti-nausea potential.

So, if you’re feeling a bit sick to your stomach, try adding more ginger to your diet!

Could Tribe CBD Oil Tame My Nausea?

It’s not just ginger that shows potential as an all-natural nausea treatment. That’s right; there are now studies suggesting hemp-derived CBD may help patients dealing with nausea-related issues. Indeed, scientists at Canada’s University of Guelph discovered CBD might reduce the risk of vomiting. People with conditions like chronic migraines or morning sickness may experience tremendous benefits with a Tribe CBD product.

If you’re interested in experimenting with CBD for nausea, be sure to ask your doctor before adding one of our products to your routine. While CBD shows phenomenal potential, it’s always best to get the all-clear from a trusted medical provider.

Give Tribe’s CBD Bloody Caesar A Try!

The Bloody Mary may be the “diva of drinks,” but that doesn’t mean the Bloody Caesar is just a cheap knock-off. In fact, if you’re a Canadian, chances are you’re more familiar with this later cocktail creation. Despite its Italian-inspired origin, the Bloody Caesar still holds its title as the official cocktail of the Great White North.

If you’re already a fan of the Bloody Mary, then you’re going to love our CBD rendition of Canada’s favorite drink. An extra dose of our high-quality CBD oil will keep you calm as you sip this spicy mix.

Tribe’s CBD Bloody Caesar with Cannabidiol

CBD Bloody Caesar Recipe

Clamato juice is the main ingredient that distinguishes a Bloody Caesar from a Bloody Mary. For those who’ve never tried this Mott’s-owned product, it’s basically a combination of tomato juice, clam broth, and spices. Think V8 with some extra “fishiness.”

While an “authentic” Bloody Caesar should include a few ounces of Clamato, that doesn’t mean you have to run out to the store and order this juice. In fact, it’s not all that difficult to make a DIY Clamato. Not only is it cheaper to make Clamato at home, you could easily adjust your drink to your tastes.

To make Clamato at home, all you need are a few cups of tomato juice, ½ cup of clam juice, and whatever spices or citrus juices you prefer. Common secondary ingredients include Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, celery salt, and lemon juice. As long as you keep this mix in a sealed jar, it should last at least five days in your refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • A plate of celery salt
  • 1 ½ ounces vodka
  • 4 ounces Clamato juice
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 dashes Tabasco sauce
  • 1 – 2 dashes horseradish
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
  • Lime wedge
  • Celery stalk

Directions

  • Run a lime wedge around your highball glass
  • Dip the glass in a plate of celery salt
  • Pour everything but the lime wedge and celery stalk into a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake for a few seconds
  • Strain into your highball glass
  • Top with a lime wedge and celery stalk

Like the Bloody Mary, you could go crazy with garnishes on the Bloody Caesar cocktail. While a celery stalk is a crunchy classic, other common toppings include lemon wedges, olives, bacon, lime wheels, and a cucumber spear.

The post What is Delta-8, and is it Legal? appeared first on The Cannifornian.

]]>
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a psychoactive element in the cannabis plant. Apart from THC, CBD is the other dominant cannabinoid, but there are many other cannabinoids in the hemp and marijuana plants.

Most people only know THC or delta-9 THC, but recently scientists discovered its relative, delta-8 THC, which has become more popular over the past few years. What is  Delta-8 THC, and is it legal? That’s what this article is about. We’ll look at more information on Delta-8 THC that you need to know.

What is Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 THC is a compound that exists naturally in the cannabis plant, but it’s available in small amounts. Most of the delta-8 THC available is derived from the hemp plant. Like other cannabinoids, this THC helps your body relax, reduces stress, and boosts your moods.

The Legal Status of Delta-8 THC Federally

There are various discussion forums and sites with misleading information. Therefore, it is crucial to clarify this component’s legal details so that everyone can start benefiting from it. Most individuals presume that since THC is related to marijuana, it’s illegal. Well, that’s not true, and that’s because delta-8 THC is different from delta-9 THC or simply THC.

Unlike its more popular relative delta-9-THC, delta-8-THC is a minor cannabinoid with a potent high of its own. It differs from delta-9-THC by the location of the double bonds in their molecular chains. Delta-8-THC occurs naturally in minute quantities in the cannabis plant and can also be synthesized from CBD to isolate it for its unique and powerful effects.

Now back to its legality, in 2018, the Farm Bill was passed. According to this legislation, hemp-derived products with less than 0.3% THC were excepted from the list of controlled substances. That means it is legal to use and distribute such products provided it has THC within the allowed limits. Since delta-8 THC is derived from hemp, which has negligible THC traces, it’s technically legal on a federal level.

Is Delta-8 THC Legal in My State?

Despite the signed federal rule, states have the power to control the use of delta-8 THC in their jurisdictions. That means they decide whether to allow or ban its use. However, it’s not just about delta-8 THC; it also happens in gambling, tobacco, alcohol, amongst other industries.

While delta-8 THC may not be legal in all 50 states, it is legal in most of them. Only 11 states have banned it. They include Utah, Rhode Island, Montana, Mississippi, Iowa, Idaho, Delaware, Colorado, Arkansas, Arizona, and Alaska.

It’s also worth noting that the legal status of D8 has nothing to do with the legality of cannabis. So, if recreational cannabis is legal in your states, it doesn’t mean delta-8 THC is, as seen in Colorado and Arizona.

The laws also vary from state to state. For instance, Oregon authorizes the Delta-8 THC obtained from hemp in intrastate transfers, provided it adheres with Oregon Department of Agriculture Laws and Rules, including having less than 0.3% THC. However, to become a seller in that state, you need authorization from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission.

Is Delta-8 THC Legal?

Now you understand why the legality of Delta-8 THC is in a grey area. It’s also easy to see why many people find this topic to be confusing. When it comes to delta 8’s legal status, there’s no direct yes or no answer. It is different from delta-9 THC, which is illegal under federal law.

Whether or not cannabis is legal depends on which laws you are looking at. Is it the federal or the state law? It also depends on which states you’re in since some of the states have banned the substance.

Before the Farm Bill 2018 ascended into law, all cannabis products were illegal. It did not matter whether they are derived from marijuana or hemp. But since the Farm Bill, there’s a heated debate since no law directly bans hemp-derived products like delta-9 THC.

Remember that state laws can change from time to time. Additionally, the state and federal laws override each other. So, the only way out is to familiarize yourself with your local laws before buying any hemp product.

It’s advisable to buy your products from reputable sellers who offer products from legal sources to avoid getting on the wrong side of the law. Most of the products available in the market contain high amounts of THC and can put you in trouble. Buying from trustworthy sources guarantees your delta-8 THC is legal and safe.

Conclusion

Although the hemp industry has legal issues to work out, it’s clear that it is booming. One of its products, delta-8 THC, is getting popular day by day. However, most users tend to shy away from it because of the unclear legal status. This guide should help clarify that and allow you to enjoy the benefits of delta-8 THC if it’s legal in your state. If you are unsure, make sure to consult an expert first.

There was an interesting study about cannabis and alcohol consumption recently conducted by a team out of the University of Colorado at Boulder. In their findings, they concluded that cannabis consumption may decrease alcohol intake by individuals being treated for alcohol abuse.

The relationship between alcohol use in conjunction with cannabis is one that has been questioned for several years. Many research studies have been conducted to better understand the connection between these two substances; how use of one substance may affect the increase or decrease in use of the other.  In this specific study, researchers aimed to understand the effects of same day weed consumption on quantity of drinks consumed.  The researchers also focused on the probability of binge drinking on days when cannabis is also being used.

From 2016 to 2020, 96 individuals who were seeking alcohol treatment while also consuming cannabis submitted data regarding their cannabis consumption along side alcohol usage. The study concluded that in general the subjects drank 1.05 fewer drinks on the days that cannabis was used.  Also, on days when cannabis was used among the test subjects, they were 2.06 times less likely to binge drink. It also appears that cannabis usage increased on days when subjects did not drink.

Many may argue that the findings of this study just show that individuals with substance dependency are only replacing one habit with another. More long-term as well as larger studies will need to be done. This will provide a better understanding of the relationship between people who are attempting to stop drinking while also consuming cannabis.

In the recent past, buying weed meant meeting a friend of a friend in the back-parking lot of a supermarket only to be left waiting for hours, hoping your herbs would arrive. But now things are changing with the option to buy publicly traded, NASDAQ stock of a multi-billion-dollar Canadian pot conglomerate. Tilray and Aphria, two of Canada’s largest cannabis companies are set to create the worlds largest cannabis corporation with a combined estimated market value of 3.9 billion dollars and have intentions of finding their space in the ever-growing U.S cannabis market.

Both companies have already started their moves into the largest global cannabis market independently of each other. Manitoba Harvest, a Tilray powered CBD company is already offering products in the United States and Aphria recently purchased a southern based craft beer company, SweetWater Brewing, for the price of $300 million dollars. The purchase of the beer company likely will serve as a base for a transition into cannabis sales in the United States.

Tilray CEO Brendan Kennedy is hopeful for the future of legal cannabis and believes it soon will be traded both Statewide and internationally. He thinks that by 2022 people can expect cannabis to be traded like alcohol and that the state specific brands and markets will soon be a thing of the past. For the time being cannabis remains federally illegal in the U.S and it appears it will remain that way for the immediate future under the incoming Biden white house. Although Biden leans towards decriminalization he has not made it explicitly clear that he has any intentions of heading towards federal legalization. A lot is left to be seen for the future of mega cannabis conglomerations and how they are to fair in an ever opening, yet restricted marketplace.

It can also be infused into a variety of products such as vaping juices, CBD edibles, oil tinctures, capsules, creams, balms and other products as well.

Here are some ways CBD is commonly consumed:

1. Topical CBD Products

There are a variety of topical CBD products available on the market to choose from nowadays. These topical products such as CBD creams, oils, balms, etc. are one of the most common ways to intake CBD. Some of these products are also regularly used by many athletes. 2. CBD Tinctures

CBD tinctures are formulations that combine the different ingredients with CBD. Such ingredients may include alcohol or maybe some various flavors to improve the taste. Oftentimes, other dissolving solutions such as vegetable glycerin, ethanol, coconut oil, etc. are also used in creating the CBD-infused tinctures. This type of CBD is consumed with the help of a dropper in a tincture form. Such droppers are used to administer the drops of CBD infused formula below the tongue of the person.

With this method, the human body intakes CBD into the bloodstream very quickly. This is one of the quickest and the simplest method for a person to get their daily dose of CBD. Also, it’s advisable for beginners as it doesn’t involve processes like vaping or smoking for fast results.

3. CBD Vape Pens and Vaporizers

Even though vaping is somewhat similar to smoking, vaporizing is yet another method of consuming CBD. Also, it’s typically thought to be safer than smoking as vaping doesn’t involve combustion. But it’s very important to be aware of the type of vaping devices, vape pens and the e-juices that are being used. Then you can experiment your way around and decide on what you love best.

The CBD oil and CBD tinctures are pretty similar when it comes to their packaging and application. In fact, they are even produced in somewhat similar manners (i.e. with the CO2 or alcohol extraction). One of the main differences includes is the time of soaking. In this manner, CBD oils are considered to be of better quality than CBD tinctures in comparison. But on the other hand, CBD oils have no flavors to help improve their tastes. As a result, they taste very bitter and that might be a problem for some.

CBD oil can also be consumed by way of vaporizing and there are many vaping devices that use CBD oils. CBD oils have a higher concentration of CBD.

5. CBD Edibles

With the expansion of the cannabis industry, CBD has been incorporated into edible products as well. There are a variety of CBD edibles available in the market such as CBD chocolates, gummies, candies, etc., that all have CBD in them. In fact, nowadays you can easily find many beverages such as CBD teas, milkshakes and other products that have CBD infused in them.
