While there are a good amount of nonalcoholic spirits on grocery store shelves, why not indulge in a cannabis-infused beverage? Canna-beverages not only replace the alcohol you’re used to having in hand, but they also help keep your spirits lifted. Also, because of the nano-emulsification process needed to break the THC down into drinkable form, cannabis-infused beverages offer a rapid onset (within 15 minutes) and rapid offset, so you can catch a buzz but still be able to move on with your evening.

Here are five delicious infused drinks to try:

  1. CANN

CANN social tonics come in two different options, CBD/THC microdose flavors (four milligrams of CBD and two of THC) and their new Hi-Boy cans that are a light 5-milligram dosage. They come in a few different flavors, including grapefruit rosemary, blood orange cardamom, and lemon lavender.

These delta-8 infused drinks are excellent for consumers looking for a little bit of a higher dosage. While they do offer a light CBD ‘sessions’ version, their classic 1:1 10 milligrams THC:10 milligrams Delta 8 ‘higher vibes’ drinks elevate the vibe just right. They come in lemon ginger, blood-orange bitters, watermelon basil, and lemon hibiscus.

These lemonades are one of the most delicious beverages I’ve come across. They offer indica, sativa, hybrid options in a much heftier 100-milligram dosage. There is one 1:1 CBD choice for users as well, and the experience can be super relaxing. The lemonades are raspberry, black cherry, honey, strawberry hibiscus, and key lime.

The weather outside is still a little chilly, and Kikoko offers lightly dosed herbal tea packets to keep you cozy through the winter. They offer microdose options for any time of the day, uplifting positivi-tea (10mg THC, 5mg CBD), a bedtime tranquili-tea (3mg THC, 5mg CBN), a sexy sensuali-tea (7mg THC), and a comfy sympa-tea (3mg THC, 20mg CBD).

If you love a good soda, these Keef colas will be just for you. The fizzy sweet treats are great on their own or can be added to ice cream to make a delightful float. They come in 10-milligram cans and bottles in flavors: Purple passion, root beer, orange, classic cola, and blue razz.

These are just a few of many cannabis beverages available on dispensary menus. They should be located in the edible section, but feel free to ask your budtender their beverage selections!

Tribe’s CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail

Still served by the gallons at Wimbledon, Pimm’s Cup is one of England’s finest summertime cocktails. But you don’t have to be a British subject to sip this centuries-old mix. With just a few simple ingredients, even a Yank can crank out Pimm’s most popular punch.

Of course, Tribe couldn’t resist putting a dab of our high-quality CBD oil into this storied cocktail. We know, this inclusion goes against tradition. However, once people feel CBD’s effects, we doubt any “Pimm’s purists” will protest.

CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail Recipe

CBD Pimm’s Cup Cocktail

Although muddling isn’t a requirement with this cocktail, it will add a lot of flavor to your Pimm’s Cup. If you love intense sweetness and earthiness, consider muddling half of your fresh fruits and herbs in a cocktail shaker. After a light muddle, add ice, shake, and strain into your highball glass.

Just remember not to tear your ingredients to shreds as you use your muddler. As we mentioned in our Gin Basil Smash recipe, there’s a fine line between releasing essential oils and blistering your herbs.

If you happen to tear your mint leaves, it will give off an unpleasant “grassy” taste. While you may get to show off those biceps while muddling this way, your guests won’t be impressed with your cocktail’s flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pimm’s No. 1
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ~ 4 oz ginger ale
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
  • Mint sprig
  • Assorted berries, sliced apples, or orange wedges
  • Sliced cucumbers

Directions

  • Add ice to a highball glass
  • Pour Pimm’s No. 1 and lemon juice
  • Add enough ginger ale to top your glass
  • Drizzle a dropperful of Tribe CBD oil on top
  • Garnish with mint, cucumbers, and your choice of fruit

Since Pimm’s has been around for centuries, those ingenious Brits have had plenty of time to come up with dozens of cocktail variations. Arguably, the best-known substitution for a Pimm’s Cup is using sparkling lemonade rather than ginger ale and lemon juice.

For those who want to be extra fancy, you’ve got to splurge on a bottle of bubbly! People who use champagne in their Pimm’s Cup are technically enjoying the “royal” rendition.

Lastly, although we haven’t seen it mentioned too often, why not add a little “Italian flair” with DIY limoncello? You can find out how to make incredible limoncello in this previous Tribe CBD blog post

Got Tennis Elbow? Try Tribe’s CBD Cream

Wherever you enjoy working out, your muscles will feel sore from time to time. Arguably, the trendiest way to handle post-workout soreness is to apply a generous dab of a CBD topical. Indeed, we’ve heard from many athletes on social media who love using Tribe’s CBD cooling gel

So, if you need a little help staying “in the game,” be sure to add Tribe’s cooling gel to your gym bag.

Despite its tiny size, Key West is jam-packed with dozens of unforgettable attractions. From Hemingway’s Home and Harry Truman’s “Little White House” to Smathers Beach and Southernmost Point, you could spend days on this island and still have more to see. But no matter what you want to do in this crazy town, you’ve got to schedule some time to taste the local specialty: a fresh-baked Key lime pie!

If you can’t make it down US-1 this year, no worries! Here’s a simple way to take a “mental vacation” to the Florida Keys: mix our Key lime pie martini! For a little extra fun, we’re going to add a spritz of our citrus-flavored CBD oil

CBD Key Lime Pie Martini Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Key Lime Pie Martini

The “key” question every baker faces before making a Key Lime Pie is whether to splurge on Key limes. Interestingly, what we call “Key limes” are native to Mexico; however, they were an essential part of agriculture in the Florida Keys for many decades.

Compared with the more common Persian limes, Key limes supposedly have a sharper edge. Citrus connoisseurs also frequently say Key limes are more “aromatic” than Persian limes…whatever that means!

One thing’s for sure: Key limes are a serious pain to squeeze. Not only is there less juice in these limes, they also have loads of seeds.

Unless you’re a stickler for authenticity, there’s no need to go crazy searching for these special limes. Heck, after hurricanes wiped away most Key lime fields, most farmers in the Keys have converted to Persian limes anyway.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz cake or vanilla-flavored vodka
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
  • Graham crackers, crushed
  • Whipped cream, optional
  • Fresh raspberry, optional

Directions

  • Pour vodka, lime juice, Cointreau, and Tribe CBD oil into a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake for a few seconds
  • Strain into your martini glass
  • Top with whipped cream and crushed graham crackers
  • Garnish with a fresh raspberry (optional)

If you prefer sweet over citrus, then you may want to consider swapping fresh lime juice for lime cordial. While lime juice is the primary ingredient in lime cordial, this concentrate also contains a fair amount of sugar. So, by adding lime cordial rather than lime juice, you should expect a saccharine-enhanced flavor sensation.

Just be extra careful when you’re shopping for lime cordial. Often, companies add way too many preservatives and unnecessary sweeteners. If you’re going with store-bought lime cordial, please give the ingredients list a thorough screening.

FYI: If you want to learn more about lime cordial, you’ve got to check out our previous CBD gimlet recipe.

Cool Down With Tribe’s CBD Cream

While soaking in that warm Florida sun sure is refreshing, at some point you’ll need to “cool down.” One great way to keep your muscles mellow is to rub a bit of Tribe’s CBD Cold Therapy Cream. In addition to high-quality CBD, each of these topicals contains herbs like chamomile and Arnica montana to relieve aches and pains.

Ethanol contains 7 calories per gram. That’s almost two times the calories of carbohydrates and nearly as many of fat. So, if you want to drink beer without the calories, sorry — it’s not going to happen. It can’t.

That may be why, as breweries strive to minimize their beers’ caloric value, cannabis beverages are taking flight. With THC-infused drinks, consumers can attain that buzz they’re after without the caloric baggage. In a sense, they’re required to, since it is illegal to combine alcohol and THC in the same product.

Cannabis-infused drinks have been on the market for several years now, but I didn’t have a taste until last week, when I was delivered a sample pack of a lime-and-basil-flavored bubbly water infused lightly with the compounds of interest from marijuana — namely, and chemically, tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol. These are better known in daily dialogues as THC and CBD.

CBD is the miracle molecule that cures all ills, or nearly so, according to high life advocates, while THC is the compound that messes with people’s heads.

The product I tasted contains both. It is on shelves now and emerged from collaboration between Sava, a local online cannabis vendor, and Cann, which makes a variety of all-natural, low-dose “social tonics,” as Cann’s website calls them.

The drink was spritzy, and the flavor combination was light and wonderful.

My drinking companion claims to have gotten almost immediately, and very mildly, stoned. I felt only a slight touch of a giddy lightness, but it was real and clear — a genuine high. It was the first time I had used cannabis in a measured way (the 8-ounce can contains 2 milligrams of THC and 4 of CBD, and just 35 calories) and now I know that a little extra might be perfect for me, and next time I may double my dose. The Lime Basil Cann Social Tonic is widely available in the Bay Area and should run about $12 for a four-pack.

Cann’s website calls social tonics “the future of drinking.” Whether brewers believe this or not, they are certainly listening to such claims. Indeed, as more states legalize marijuana — as California, Alaska, Maine and many more have done – brewers are dabbling in this sector. Lagunitas, for one, has done so. In 2017, the Marin-born, Sonoma-based beer giant made an alcoholic cannabis beer — what the brewery claims to have discovered only after the fact was illegal. For combining alcohol with THC was and remains against federal law. Currently, Lagunitas offers a drink called Hi-Fi Hops — an IPA-inspired bubbly water, sans alcohol, and infused with 5 mg of THC.

Other non-alcoholic THC “beers” include High Style Brewing’s Pale Haze, with a whopping 10 mg of THC; the same brewery’s Blood Orange Haze, with 10 mg of THC; and Flying Dog’s IPA-inspired Hop Chronic, with an unmeasured amount of THC.

Combining CBD with alcohol is allowed, and we see an example of this in Coalition Brewing Co.’s Two Flowers IPA, which contains 6% ABV, 0 THC and 10 mg of CBD.

Reports recently emerged from Canada that beer sales declined markedly when marijuana became legal — a clear sign that many beer lovers aren’t beer lovers at all; rather, they just want to have fun — minus the calories.

Get your “smoochy face” ready; in this post, we’re going over the delightfully named Kiss on the Lips cocktail. A favorite in Bahamas-themed bars, this fruity concoction is the perfect way to enjoy a tropical vacation from the comforts of home. Anyone who likes their cocktails on the sweet side is going to love this exotic recipe.

To bump up this cocktail’s “relaxation factor,” we’re going to mix in a dropperful of Tribe’s high-quality CBD oil. Just a dab of our hemp-derived CBD is sure to send your mind soaring to a sunny, sandy shore.

CBD Kiss On The Lips Cocktail

Try Tribe’s CBD Kiss On The Lips Cocktail

Everyone agrees that the Kiss on the Lips is a tropical-themed cocktail. Unfortunately, there’s not much agreement over the ingredients that should go into this drink.

While you’ll find countless Kiss on the Lips renditions out there, the two traditional spirits in this recipe are rum and peach schnapps. Most often, the rum in this cocktail is either mango or coconut-flavored, but you could use whatever brand you’ve got on hand.

To these primary spirits, you could add any proportion of mango, orange, and pineapple juices. However, since our citrus-flavored CBD oil already has notes of orange, we thought adding OJ might be redundant. Plus, you’re going to get extra citrus flavor with the orange slice garnish. But if you’re super passionate about OJ, please don’t let us stop you from adding it to your drink!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz mango rum
  • 1 ½ oz peach schnapps
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz mango juice
  • Splash of grenadine
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
  • Orange slices

Directions

  • Pour rum, peach schnapps, pineapple juice, and mango juice into a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake for a few seconds
  • Strain into a pre-chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with grenadine, Tribe CBD oil, and orange slices

Although we all dream of a romantic “kiss on the lips,” dating can be downright terrifying! If you’re nervous before going on a romantic dinner date, please don’t feel alone. According to recent data, at least 89 percent of Americans experience anxiety before going out with a new girlfriend or boyfriend.

Luckily for you, a dropperful of CBD oil may help calm your pre-date nerves. Although there isn’t research looking into this specific issue, many studies suggest CBD may have anti-anxiety effects. Indeed, compared with a placebo, Brazilian patients who took CBD seemed to experience less anxiety while giving a public lecture.

So, be sure to add Tribe’s CBD oil to your “charm arsenal” before heading out on the town!

Could CBD Light Up Your Libido?

Although there’s not a ton of research on CBD’s aphrodisiac potential, there are plenty of people who swear this cannabinoid helps ignite their arousal. Arguably, any of the positive effects CBD has on libido come from its anti-anxiety components.

If you want to bump up CBD’s aphrodisiac potential, we’d recommend combining our CBD oil with traditional Valentine’s foods like dark chocolate and oysters. Some people claim warming herbs like ginger or cinnamon also enhance libido; so, be sure to add some Tribe CBD oil to your next cup of herbal tea!

You don’t need to drive to Key West to enjoy a glass of Buffett’s favorite brew. As you’ll see below, the most challenging part about making a marvelous margarita is squeezing your limes! Plus, since Tribe CBD believes cannabidiol makes everything in life better, we’re going to add our citrus-flavored CBD oil to this marvelous margarita mix.

So, crank up Jimmy Buffett’s greatest hits, because we’re taking a trip to Margaritaville!

One question people often ask before making their first margarita is what kind of tequila they should use. Although you could use any tequila variety, most bartenders recommend going with a blanco or a silver. Since these tequilas aren’t aged, they’re better suited for mixing. As a bonus, blanco tequilas are the most affordable, making them a perfect choice for large get-togethers.

If you’d prefer to add a little complexity to your margarita, consider researching a slightly aged reposado tequila. These tequilas have been aged for at least two months in oak barrels, which gives them a richer color and a unique flavor profile.

However, you should never use the long-aged añejo tequilas in a margarita. It makes no sense to drown out the nuanced flavors of a high-priced añejo in any cocktail mixture.

Ingredients

• 2 ounces blanco, silver, or reposado tequila
• 1 ounce lime juice
• ½ dropperful of Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
• ½ ounce agave syrup
• ½ ounce orange liqueur
• Lime wedge (optional)

Directions

• Add tequila, lime juice, CBD oil, agave syrup, and orange liqueur in a cocktail shaker.
• Fill your shaker with plenty of ice.
• Shake for at least 10 seconds.
• Strain your drink into an ice-filled rocks glass.
• Garnish with a lime wedge.

If you want to serve your margarita in an iconic salt-rimmed glass, you just need to prepare ahead of time. Before starting your drink, slice a lime wedge and run it across the rim of your rocks glass. Next, place the top of your glass in a plate of coarse salt, and you’re done!

However, since this is a CBD cocktail, we recommend adding a touch of high-quality CBD oil to your glass’s rim. The easiest way to do this is to squirt a few drops of our citrus CBD oil onto your lime wedge and then run it around the rim. Sure, this CBD might have subtle effects, but it certainly adds a unique touch to your tart treat.

FYI: Tribe CBD Also Offers A Non-Citrus CBD Oil

Although we often suggest using our citrus-flavored CBD oil in cocktails, please keep in mind Tribe CBD also offers a natural CBD oil. If you find the tart notes a tad too overpowering, please consider experimenting with our original CBD oil formula. You could find out more about our hemp-derived CBD formula on here.

Forget about a “spoonful of sugar;” the Michelada is all about spice! If you’re looking for a quick way to clear your sinuses, then you’ve got to give this mouth-melting Mexican drink a try. This beer cocktail has just the right amount of heat to keep you on your feet.

To help temper the Michelada’s fiery flavors, Tribe CBD added a pinch of our citrus-flavored CBD oil to this recipe. One dropperful of our high-quality CBD should be enough to calm your nerves while sipping this smoky drink.

CBD Michelada Recipe

Homemade Michelada with Beer and Tomato Juice

While the Michelada is highly customizable, two non-negotiable ingredients are beer and hot sauce. However, there’s no standard brand associated with this drink. We’d encourage you to cycle through a few different products to find which flavors suit your fancy.

Arguably, the most popular Michelada combination in the US is Corona mixed with a few dashes of Tabasco. Both of these products are readily available at the supermarket, and they provide a satisfyingly spicy experience.

However, we’d recommend checking out all the craft brews and artisan-quality hot sauces available in your hometown. Also, even though the Michelada is often made with a light beer, some people say dark stouts work just fine.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz beer
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 dashes of your preferred hot sauce
  • 3 dashes low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
  • Lime wedge
  • Tajin Seasoning/ Salt mixture (rim garnish)

Directions

  • Pour Tajin seasoning onto a plate, use your lime wedge to dampen the glass rim, then dip in the Tajin seasoning
  • Add ice to a pre-chilled highball glass, being mindful of the rim topper
  • Pour lime juice, hot sauce, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce into your glass
  • Stir until well-chilled
  • Slowly add beer to your glass
  • Top with a lime wedge and Tribe CBD oil

While you don’t need to salt your rim when making a Michelada, it’s not unheard of when preparing this drink. Indeed, some brave drinkers even coat their glasses with a pinch of cayenne pepper. However, if you’re going to down that much spice, we’d recommend eating a few slices of bread beforehand. Taking cayenne pepper on an empty stomach could cause severe stomach pains.

If you don’t feel like salting the rim of your glass, then consider stirring a little salt into your drink. You could even add a little paprika, pepper, or celery salt to give this drink extra complexity.

For more info on salting the rims of your glasses, please be sure to read our popular CBD Margarita post.

Add Some Spice to Your Life with Tribe’s CBD Turmeric Shot

Like CBD, turmeric has taken the modern wellness industry by storm—and for good reason! This slightly spicy rhizome is jam-packed with the uber-healthy compound curcumin. Study after study shows this unique chemical has some pretty incredible anti-inflammatory properties. When you hear all the potential benefits of turmeric, we bet you’ll be slinging a few of these spicy shots every morning.

While turmeric is mighty impressive on its own, why not add a little of Tribe’s citrus-flavored CBD oil for even more benefits? All you need is ½ dropperful of Tribe CBD oil to make this superfood shot sparkle!

Tribe’s CBD Turmeric Shot Recipe

Even the nuttiest of health nuts has to admit turmeric has one major downside: it stains like crazy! Whether you’re using the actual root or turmeric powder, it will leave orange marks all over the place if you’re not careful. For this reason, most people recommend using specific cups and utensils strictly for turmeric. You may also want to use disposable gloves, especially if you’re handling turmeric root.

If you happen to get a turmeric stain on the counter, don’t freak out! There are a few DIY hacks you could use to bust these bright orange marks. For instance, some people report great success applying a baking soda and water paste and letting it sit for about 15 – 30 minutes. You could also try a dab of white vinegar or lemon juice for extra stubborn stains.

Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ~ 1 oz filtered water
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • ½ dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)

Directions

  • Place turmeric powder and black pepper in a shot glass
  • Add water and stir until well incorporated
  • Top with Tribe CBD oil

While our citrus-flavored CBD oil will add orangey sweetness to this shot, some people need more ingredients to cover up turmeric’s flavor. If you aren’t a fan of how turmeric tastes, you might want to swap out the water for something like pineapple juice, coconut water, or lemonade. You could even add a little maple syrup for all-natural sweetness.

On the opposite extreme, fans of spicy flavors could add some freshly grated ginger or a pinch of cayenne pepper to this shot. Just like turmeric, both of these ingredients have potent anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting effects.

Just don’t forget to add the black pepper! Interestingly, recent studies suggest a touch of black pepper can dramatically improve turmeric’s absorption rate.

Does CBD Have Anti-Inflammatory Properties? Science Says “Yes!”

There’s little doubt turmeric has anti-inflammatory potential, but what about CBD oil? Although hemp research is in its initial stages, recent reports strongly suggest CBD could help with inflammation. For instance, one study out of the University of Kentucky found that CBD topicals reduced knee inflammation in rats with arthritis. There’s also a study out of Cornell University that suggested CBD supplements could reduce osteoarthritis symptoms in dogs.

If you’d like to use CBD for joint aches, we’d recommend looking into Tribe CBD’s Cooling Cream. Be sure to read more about our CBD topical here.

Here’s a fun fact to impress your friends: the world’s first grapefruit tree grew on the island of Barbados. With this tidbit in mind, it might be “surprising” to hear that grapefruit juice isn’t included in the Barbados Surprise cocktail. But don’t worry; even if you love grapefruit-infused cocktails, the Barbados Surprise is a delicious tropical drink.

Do you know what makes our Barbados Surprise extra surprising? CBD, of course! The orange extract in our citrus-flavored CBD oil adds a perfect complement to this alluring cocktail’s fruity flavors.

CBD Barbados Surprise Recipe

CBD Barbados Surprise Recipe

The Barbados Surprise is one of those cocktails that’s all about presentation. When guests first see this layered drink, they will instantly be impressed by the separation of blue curaçao, orange juice, and grenadine. While it’s not challenging to achieve this beautiful effect, there is one technique new mixologists can’t neglect.

After you pour your grenadine and orange juice (in that order!), you must mix the blue curaçao with rum in a separate glass. If you just dump these ingredients in haphazardly, the blue curaçao will sink straight to the bottom. The inclusion of rum will “lighten” the curaçao enough that it stays on the top of your drink.

Ingredients

  • ½ oz grenadine
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz white rum
  • ½ oz blue curaçao
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil (citrus)
  • Orange wheel

Directions

What Does Tribe’s CBD Oil Taste Like?

Often we hear from prospective customers who are concerned about CBD oil’s taste. While some full-spectrum CBD oil brands could taste “grassy,” most people have no issues downing our citrus-flavored CBD oil. Not only does the orange oil cover hemp’s earthy notes, we also include a touch of stevia for all-natural sweetness. Like our CBD gummies, Tribe CBD never uses artificial sweeteners in our high-quality CBD oils. For more info on the ingredients in our CBD oil, be sure to visit here.
