Vaping 101

Over the past decade, vaping cannabis has gone from a tedious process involving an expensive tabletop device to one of the simplest, most portable, and most discrete methods of consuming the plant. The sheer volume and available vaping devices can be overwhelming and confusing for your average consumer.

What Is Vaping?

Vaping is consuming cannabis flower or concentrate via a device like a Volcano or pen. These devices heat the cannabis to a temperature at which it vaporizes and is then inhaled. The plant or concentrate is never burned, so no smoke is produced.

Why Do People Vape?

Cannabis enthusiasts choose to vape for many reasons, but the most common is that it produces a more intense high. The plant does not combust, so no smoke is produced, leading many to believe it’s a healthier option. The smell is also less intense than smoking flower. In fact, it can be almost nonexistent, depending on the device you use. The newest devices like pens are discreet, easy to use, and offer consistent dosing.

What Do People Vape?

Flower is the most traditional and old-school product that people vaporize. More common now is THC oil extracted from the cannabis plant through a chemical process. Relatively newer cannabis concentrates like live rosin, an oil made in a flash-freezing process, are growing in popularity.

Regardless of the type of concentrate you use, vape pens are big business. Sales of the devices, or cartridges used with the devices, are seeing double-digit growth each year. People bought more than $2.6 billion worth of them in 2021.

Here are three of the most popular types of vaping devices:

The Tabletop/Desktop Device

Before 2010, there was really just one way to vape: Tabletop (or desktop, depending on who you talk to) devices like The Volcano, released in 2001. These devices are comparable monsters next to the prevalent pens. And they’re expensive.

The Volcano itself is an 8-inch wide device that weighs more than 3 pounds and starts at $479.

Vaping with a tabletop device involves vaporizing dry cannabis flower through a convection heating process that can take up to six minutes. The vapor typically fills up a large bag you can inhale it from for an intense high.

Portable Dry Herb and Concentrate Vapes

Recently, technology has emerged that’s allowed for portable devices that work much the same way The Volcano works—except they’ll fit in your pocket.

Typically using either a convection or conduction heating process, these little guys quickly heat dry flower (or concentrates, like wax) to a vapor that can be inhaled discreetly.

An app typically accompanies portable dry vaporizers, allowing you to control and fine-tune the temperature at which you vape. The best will remember your favorite settings for each strain or type of product you’re consuming.

You can expect to pay anywhere from $100 to $300 for a dry herb vape.

Vape Pens

Around the same time as over-the-counter nicotine vape devices like the Juul were taking off, the same technology created similar devices for cannabis. In fact, one of the most popular cannabis vape pens— like Pax—were developed by the same company as the nicotine-focused Juul.

These devices are the cheapest option and range from being designed as disposable products to high-end, thoughtfully designed devices with connected smartphone apps that, like the dry herb vapes mentioned above, allow for precise heat settings and remember your preferences.

Disposable vape pens are usually discreet and in the $25 to $50 range, depending on the brand, quality of the product, and the amount of cannabis concentrate. This can range from 35 mg to a whole gram but typically lands at half a gram. And while they’re often the choice of weed tourists and have a reputation for low quality, many now focus on terpene flavors and cannabinoid contents (CBD, CBG, etc.). Some are even made with the newer, terpene- and cannabinoid-rich concentrates like live rosin.

The most common vape pen consists of two pieces: a body (called a “battery”) that looks like a pen and a cartridge containing some sort of cannabis concentrate that screws on the top. Some pens require you to push a button before inhaling, while others turn on automatically when they detect inhalation. Most batteries are rechargeable using a USB connector.

Depending on the simplicity of the tech in the battery, they can range from $5 to hundreds of dollars. Meanwhile, the cartridges—typically 0.5 grams or a full gram— are in the $25 to $50 range, depending on the type of concentrate and quality of the ingredients.

Whether you want to go old school with a desktop conversation starter or are looking for a more discreet method to get that distinct vape high, these options will get you there.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. & TORONTO, May 23, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Flora Growth Corp. (NASDAQ: FLGC) (“Flora” or the “Company”), a leading all-outdoor cultivator, manufacturer and distributor of global cannabis products and brands, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with leading cell biologist, Dr. Annabelle Manalo-Morgan, Ph.D., to acquire her brand Masaya, together with its patent-pending CBD formulations. Created by Dr. Annabelle and backed by her research, Masaya’s formulations of pure, potent CBD oil are 100% THC-free and have a long track record of positive testimonials collected over years of use. Flora intends to distribute the brand and its formulations worldwide.

Masaya will become an owned Flora brand sold in the US and will be the first offering from Flora Life Sciences. In addition, it is expected that the original patent-pending formulation, Masaya Pure, will be used in Flora’s current clinical trials with the University of Manchester in the UK. The formulation is also in the process of being registered with the Colombian regulatory agency, INVIMA, as one of the first distribution steps beyond the US.

“We are excited to announce the acquisition of Masaya. The brand’s formulation was developed by Dr. Annabelle for her son and has since been used by thousands of consumers. Amplifying Dr. Annabelle and her son’s beautiful story and improving the well-being of people around the world is our aim,” Flora’s Chairman and CEO Luis Merchan said. “This acquisition allows us to deliver on our promise to invest in safe, thorough, cutting-edge scientific research that can bring meaningful change via an efficacious and accessible product offering for people worldwide.”

As a member of Flora’s Board of Directors and as the Company’s Scientific Advisor, Dr. Annabelle is responsible for leading Flora’s global research initiatives, including Flora’s ongoing clinical trial on the use of cannabinoids with patients who have fibromyalgia in partnership with the University of Manchester in the UK. Those clinical trials are expected to expand into research on the use of cannabinoids for other medical indications in the UK, at Flora’s research facilities in Colombia, and in the US. It is anticipated that proceeds from the sale of Masaya products will contribute to the funding of this vital research.

After the birth of her son Macario in 2016, Dr. Annabelle endured watching him suffer from as many as 200 seizures per day which led doctors to remove 38 percent of his brain. Relentlessly, Dr. Annabelle searched for alternative solutions for Macario and eventually discovered CBD, which has helped Macario, now six, become a happy and thriving child.

“After my experience with my son Macario, I am very excited to bring Masaya to more consumers worldwide, to do my very best to help as many people as I can,” said Dr. Annabelle, Lead Scientific Advisor and Director of Flora. “Both consumers and the global scientific community deserve more research and data on the science behind CBD, and I feel truly grateful to be working with the Flora team to help develop some of the highest-quality, scientifically vetted products in the world.”

Dr. Annabelle is a scientist, educator, author, mother of five, and a respected key opinion leader. She is a cell and developmental biologist with a doctorate from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a background in neuroscience from Georgetown University. She earned her Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology with a focus in Cardio-Oncology and has since become a philanthropist and entrepreneur focused on pharmaceutical innovation and clinical trial research in medical cannabis.

Cuba is best known for its classic cigars and cars, but did you know this nation has a proud coffee heritage? Indeed, there’s such a thing as the “Cuban espresso.” There’s also a fabulous cocktail that blends high-end Cuban rum with the refreshing notes of cold brew coffee: The Havana Café!

If you’re interested in a lesser-known Cuban cocktail, then this post is for you. And, as always, we couldn’t help adding a little Tribe CBD oil to this delicious drink!

CBD Havana Café Recipe

Taste Tribe’s CBD Havana Café

One of the rare features of the Havana Café cocktail is that it calls for añejo rum. Like tequila, the label “añejo” signifies this rum has been aged for years before going on the market. Since these dark rums are so premier, many people reserve them for sipping without extra ingredients.

However, if you want the authentic Havana Café experience, you’re going to have to splurge on the Havana Club’s añejo clásico rum variety. Apparently, the nuanced flavors in this well-aged rum marry beautifully with the other ingredients.

Of course, if you don’t feel like pouring this premium rum in your Havana Café, we won’t tell anyone your secret. Heck, you don’t even have to use Cuban rum to appreciate this drink’s flavors.

As always, we recommend using whatever spirits suit your drinking preferences. If you don’t let your guests know which rum you’re using, they probably won’t be able to spot a significant difference.

Ingredients

• 2 oz Havana Club añejo clásico rum
• ¾ oz sweet vermouth
• ½ oz cold brew coffee
• ½ oz simple syrup
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
• Lemon twist, optional

Directions

• Pour rum, sweet vermouth, coffee, and simple syrup into a mixing glass
• Add ice and stir for a few seconds
• Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass
• Top with Tribe CBD oil and a lemon twist

Everyone seems to have a different opinion on caffeine’s effects. For instance, some psychologists claim caffeine works wonders for anxiety, while others say it causes restlessness.

Like CBD, caffeine tends to affect each person differently at different doses. Currently, doctors recommend healthy adults drink no more than 400 mg of caffeine per day, but this could vary depending on your reaction.

By the way, a dropperful of Tribe CBD oil may help keep caffeine’s typical side effects in check. While there’s no scientific evidence regarding CBD’s impact on caffeine, many coffee drinkers claim CBD helps keep them calm and focused while enjoying a java-fueled “brain boost.”

Chamomile tea is one of history’s oldest herbal remedies for stress and stomachaches. Funnily enough, CBD is also well-known for helping customers with these complaints. Since Tribe CBD oil and chamomile tea share so many supposed benefits, we thought it’d be fitting to add the two together!

The next time you’re looking for a non-alcoholic after-dinner treat, be sure to brew a cup of this CBD chamomile tea recipe. The combination of these delicious ingredients is sure to help you de-stress before heading to bed.

CBD Chamomile Tea Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Chamomile Tea

Although most chamomile tea brands are associated with Germany, you could find this daisy sprouting up all over the world. Chamomiles are even abundant in frigid countries throughout Eastern Europe. In fact, Russia chose chamomile to be its national flower.

According to most etymologists, the word “chamomile” traces its “roots” back to Ancient Greece. Could you guess what this term means? If you guessed “apple of the earth,” then you’re one smart cookie (or you’re just a tech-savvy cheater!).

Like hemp extract, there’s not a ton of scientific studies on chamomile’s medicinal properties. Most of the “evidence” on chamomile’s benefits is purely anecdotal. However, there are a few long-term, placebo-controlled studies in the works for chamomile extract. So, within a few years, we might have more rigorous data to confirm what herbalists have believed for centuries.

Ingredients

• One chamomile tea sachet
• One spoonful of raw honey
• One dropperful Tribe CBD oil

Directions

• Boil a pot of water on the stovetop
• Pour about eight oz. of hot water into a tea mug with the chamomile sachet
• Stir in a spoonful of raw honey and Tribe CBD oil
• Let steep for at least five minutes before enjoying

Besides anxiety relief, many people assume chamomile has a beneficial effect on the gut. If you’ve ever had an upset tummy, chances are your momma may have advised you to brew a warm glass of chamomile tea.

Interestingly, CBD oil may also have a beneficial impact on digestive health. In fact, a few studies recently suggested CBD has natural anti-nausea properties.

However, it’s important to note that CBD isn’t responsible for the “munchies” some people report when taking marijuana. Lab tests confirm the cannabinoid THC is responsible for this appetite-increasing side effect. All of the hemp products in Tribe CBD only have ≤ 0.3 percent THC.

Instead of stimulating insatiable hunger, hemp extract seems to prep your palate for a big meal. There are even a few people who use Tribe CBD oil to manage IBS symptoms. Supposedly, CBD’s natural anti-anxiety properties could help soothe a stressed-out stomach.

Of course, the scientific research into CBD and chamomile for digestion is still in its early phases. Hopefully, as more people seriously examine these compounds, we’ll better understand how to use them for a wide range of conditions.

Tom Collins cocktails are refreshing during the summer, but they may not be as splendid when autumn rolls around. If you love seasonal spritzers, then you should consider trying this pear-infused Tom Collins rendition. You’ll still enjoy the bright citrus and botanicals in the original, plus some sweet pear aromatics.

To give this Pear Collins an extra “punch” of calm, we’re going to add a dropperful of Tribe CBD oil. A little hemp extract is all it takes to turn up this cocktail’s relaxation factor.

CBD Pear Collins Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Pear Collins Recipe

If you can’t find a pear-infused liqueur in your nearest store, you may want to try your hand at making this ingredient. Don’t worry; it’s not as complicated as it sounds. Honestly, the most important thing you need to make pear liqueur is patience.

To make this recipe, core and dice one medium-sized pear and put it in a large mason jar. Add about one cup of brandy and let the mixture sit for about four to five days.

Once your brandy mixture is ready, core and chop another pear and heat it in a pot over medium-low heat with one cup of sugar and one cup of water. Keep stirring till this mix reaches a simmer and all the sugar dissolves.

Lastly, when your peach-infused simple syrup is cool, pour it into the brandy infusion. Let this sit for a few days, or until it reaches your desired flavor. When your liqueur is ready, simply pour it through a fine strainer to remove all the pear particles.

Please note: This recipe is just a bare-bones approach to making peach liqueur. There are plenty of additional ingredients you could add to jazz up the flavor. So, if you’re interested in experimenting with vanilla extract, honey, or vodka, go ahead and let your imagination run wild!

Ingredients

• 1 ½ oz gin
• 2 oz pear-infused liqueur
• ½ oz lemon juice
• Seltzer water, to top
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
• Fresh pear slices, optional

Directions

• Pour gin, pear liqueur, lemon juice, and Tribe CBD oil into a cocktail shaker
• Shake with ice until well chilled
• Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass
• Serve with pear slices if desired

Long before the term “superfood” was invented, pears were a pretty big deal amongst nutritionists. In fact, many traditional doctors in China and Korea still regard the pear as the “fruit of immortality.”

One of the “core” benefits of eating a pear is its high amounts of fiber. Current estimates suggest just one pear has 22 percent of your recommended fiber intake. Considering most Americans eat well below the daily recommended dose of 25 grams of fiber, adding just one pear to your life could make a big difference.

Is CBD Oil Good For Digestive Health?

Speaking of fiber, many people are curious whether CBD has any gut-healing benefits. At this point, nobody’s sure how the endocannabinoid system interacts with digestive health. However, there’s preliminary research that CBD may reduce symptoms of nausea. Also, since CBD seems to have anti-anxiety effects, it may help settle a “stressed out” stomach.

What’s a Christmas feast without a plateful of warm gingerbread cookies? While these treats are a staple December dessert, did you know you could “spike” these subtly spicy sweets? Just try mixing up a gingerbread martini!

Better yet, add a drizzle of Tribe CBD oil to the top of this holiday-themed cocktail. All it takes is a tiny bit of our high-quality hemp extract to make everyone a little extra jolly!

CBD Gingerbread Martini Recipe

When people say “everything’s bigger in Texas,” they’re probably not thinking of festive gingerbread houses. However, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, one Texas company earns credit for building the largest gingerbread house.

In 2013, the Texas A&M Traditions Club built a staggeringly sweet gingerbread house that measured 60’ x 42’ x 10’. In terms of area, this house was just under 40,000 ft2, and in terms of calories…well, maybe we’d better not share that stat. After all, calories don’t count during the holidays!

The best thing about this gingerbread project is that it was made for a charitable cause. Not only did this house inspire everyone who visited it, but the team behind it donated their proceeds to a local hospital. Now that’s the true holiday spirit!

Ingredients

• 1 oz Bailey’s Irish cream
• 1 oz vanilla-flavored vodka
• 1 oz Kahlua
• 1 oz Torani gingerbread syrup
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
• Whipped cream
• Peppermint stick, optional

Directions

• Pour Irish cream, vodka, Kahlua, and gingerbread syrup into a cocktail shaker
• Add ice and shake for a few seconds
• Strain into a chilled martini glass
• Top with whipped cream, Tribe CBD oil, and a peppermint stick

The Swedes may not have invented gingerbread cookies, but they sure have a lot of superstitions surrounding this dessert. For instance, did you know you could make a wish with a gingerbread cookie? Indeed, according to Swedish legend, you could hold a gingerbread in your hands and silently ask for something you desire.

However, there is a significant stipulation to using this wish-making method. After you tell your gingerbread your request, you have to break it apart with one hand. How the “cookie crumbles” determines whether you’ll get your wish. Specifically, it has to break into three pieces for your desire to manifest.

While we’re on the subject of Swedish superstitions, some records suggest the Swedish King Hans used gingerbread cookies to combat melancholy. However, considering how cheery most people feel after eating gingerbread cookies, that’s not such a shocking superstition!

Chances are you’ve had a glass of Champagne at a wedding or a graduation by now. You’ve also probably tried Ireland’s famous Guinness beer at least once in your life. However, have you ever thought of combining these two drinks? While it may sound weird to mix French Champagne with Dublin’s darkest draught, bartenders have been doing it for decades. In fact, there’s a cocktail named for this unlikely pair: Black Velvet.

If you’re thinking of giving the Black Velvet a try at your next get-together, check out how Tribe CBD mixes this beverage. Oh yeah, and since this drink is partially Irish, don’t forget to add a little “green” with Tribe’s CBD oil! It’s only fitting, right?

Tribe’s CBD Black Velvet Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Black Velvet Cocktail

While the Black Velvet has been keeping drinkers happy for centuries, it has a tragic origin story. Apparently, bartenders created the Black Velvet cocktail shortly after Prince Albert’s untimely death.

For those who know their British history, Prince Albert was Queen Victoria’s husband from 1840 – 1861. Tragically, Prince Albert was only 42 when he died of typhoid fever. Amazingly, Queen Victoria would survive Prince Albert for another 40 years—and she would stay in mourning for the rest of her life.

Bonus trivia: Did you know Prince Albert could have died much sooner due to an accident near Buckingham Palace? Apparently, the prince was skating on thin ice when he fell into a frigid pond in 1841. Luckily for Prince Albert, Queen Victoria rushed in at the nick of time to save him. Had he died in this incident, Prince Albert would have been just 22.

Ingredients

• 4 oz Champagne
• 4 oz Guinness black lager
• 1 dropperful of Tribe CBD oil

Directions

• Pour Champagne in a pre-chilled flute or a clear beer mug
• Pour black stout over the back of a bar spoon into your mug
• Top with Tribe CBD oil

It’s always important to keep your cocktails well-chilled for the best drinking experience. However, as you probably noticed, there’s no ice in a traditional Black Velvet cocktail. So, how are you going to keep this drink cold for guests? Simple: plan ahead!

Please be sure to put your Champagne and Guinness in the fridge at least a few hours before preparing this drink. You should also put your serving glasses in the refrigerator to get them nice and frosty.

However, don’t worry too much if you forget to put your glasses in the fridge. There is a neat trick you could use in case you forget to pre-chill your Champagne flutes. Before grabbing all your ingredients, put a handful of ice in your serving glass and let it sit for a few minutes. When you’re ready to start mixing, just dump out the ice and follow the recipe above. This quick-fix may not be as good as putting your glasses in the fridge, but it’s better than nothing.

Sleep Tight With Tribe CBD Sleep Shots

Considering all the alcohol in a standard Black Velvet, it’s likely this drink will make you snore within a few hours. However, it’s not a great idea to rely on Black Velvets to combat insomnia. For all-natural sleep relief, we recommend trying Tribe’s CBD Sleep Shots. With a combination of hemp extract and melatonin, our CBD Sleep Shots should put you in a sleepy state of mind in no time.

While the strawberry daiquiri has more star power, bananas are a tasty addition to this Cuban cocktail. Honestly, any drink that contains rum usually blends well with bananas’ distinctive flavors. As a bonus, there’s no need to feel self-conscious while shaking this cocktail…because it’s made in a blender!

Whenever you need a cold, refreshing drink to remind you of summertime, the banana daiquiri will satisfy your cravings. And don’t forget to add a little Tribe CBD oil for extra stress-busting effects.

CBD Banana Daiquiri Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Banana Daiquiri

While it may seem impossible to eat a banana’s peel, it is edible. In fact, many people around the world don’t toss away the peel while eating a banana. Some nutritionists claim a banana’s peel holds an impressive array of nutrients, especially fiber.

However, if you’re going to try munching on a banana peel, you should only use organic fruits. Unfortunately, it’s common to find pesticide residue on many commercially available bananas. The best way to limit your exposure to these nasty chemicals is to go organic.

By the way, you don’t have to eat a banana peel to enjoy its unique benefits. For instance, many people use the inside of banana peels to reduce skin itchiness. So, the next time a mosquito bites you, try rubbing some banana on your skin!

Ingredients

• ~ 1 cup ice
• 1 sliced banana

Despite the immense popularity of bananas—or perhaps because of it?—a few people suggest this fruit isn’t the healthiest option. Apparently, some folks can’t believe a fruit as delicious as a banana can also have health benefits!

However, if you ask most nutritionists, they will say bananas are a great addition to a healthful diet. Most notably, bananas are a rich source of potassium, which may have heart health benefits. There are even a few studies suggesting bananas’ antioxidant properties may have a positive effect on asthma.

To supercharge your morning banana smoothies, consider adding a few walnuts or almonds. Not only will these nutty flavors compliment your bananas, they are full of healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

How Should You Take Tribe CBD Oil When It’s Not In A Cocktail?

As frequent readers already know, we love sharing creative ways to mix Tribe CBD oil into delicious drinks. However, we understand that most days you can’t take CBD oil in cocktail form. So, how should you squeeze Tribe CBD oil into your daily routine? Simple: Take it sublingually!

Don’t get thrown off by the scientific term. “Sublingual” refers to glands under our tongue that can absorb CBD into our bloodstream. To take advantage of these glands, put your desired amount of CBD under your tongue, wait about 30 seconds, and then swallow. This simple method will guarantee you’re absorbing near 100 percent of our hemp CBD extract.

Does CBD have a place in modern dentistry? While this may seem like an odd question, there may be a legitimate case for “CBD toothpaste.” Indeed, there are already a few dentists who’ve begun studying CBD’s effects on teeth and gum health. We’ve even heard from a few patients who enjoy adding a few drops of Tribe CBD oil to their dental hygiene routine.

So, what’s the deal? Could CBD oil truly brighten your smile; or, is this all just an over-hyped gimmick? While we don’t have all the answers on using CBD for teeth, there are a few fascinating reports on this topic.

Why Would People Put CBD On Their Teeth?

Cannabidiol For Cavities? — How CBD May Improve Dental Hygiene

The primary reason people are excited about CBD’s potential for dental health is its anti-inflammatory properties. As we’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, many studies suggest topical CBD may reduce joint swelling and pain. Some scientists believe applying CBD to the gums may have similar healing benefits.

Interestingly, one study out of Brazil examined CBD’s effectiveness on inflammatory gum diseases. Although this trial only studied the effects of CBD injections in rats, it suggests CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties could positively influence gum health.

There are also a few studies that suggest CBD may have antimicrobial compounds. In fact, a few reporters claim CBD may play a role in destroying antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This strong antibacterial potential could play a positive role in oral hygiene.

How Do You Take Tribe CBD Oil For Dental Health?

There’s no fancy technique for adding CBD oil to your dental care routine. If you’re curious about using CBD oil on your teeth, place a few drops of CBD oil on top of your toothpaste and brush for at least two minutes.

If you’re a fan of oil pulling, then you could also add ½ dropperful of Tribe CBD oil to about one tablespoon of coconut oil. You could even experiment with mixing some CBD oil into a wheatgrass shot and swishing for about five minutes. Interestingly, many people believe the chlorophyll in wheatgrass has gum-healing properties.

Of course, the scientific literature on all of these alternative healing methods is still in the preliminary stages. None of these adjunct therapies are intended to treat or heal any dental conditions, nor are they a replacement for regular brushing and flossing. Please only add these therapies to your wellness routine with a dentist’s approval.

Get Dental Anxiety? Tribe CBD Can Help With That!

Even if you’re not interested in mixing CBD oil with your toothpaste, there’s a good chance you could benefit from some CBD before your dental appointment. Did you know that about 36 percent of people fear going to the dentist? That makes dentophobia one of the world’s more common panic disorders.

Thankfully, there are plenty of studies that suggest CBD has natural anti-stress properties. If you take one dropperful of Tribe CBD oil at least 30 minutes before a dental appointment, we bet it could tame your dreaded dentophobia.

CBD Pineapple Margarita Recipe

Tribe’s CBD Pineapple Margarita

In case you were wondering, you can plant a pineapple tree at home. All you need to do is cut off the top and put it in some soil. Just be sure to give it enough water and sun so it can thrive. Yep, it’s that simple.

The catch is that you won’t get to enjoy that delicious pineapple fruit for a long time. Even if you take great care of your pineapple tree, you shouldn’t expect to pick a pineapple for at least three years. Once a pineapple tree reaches maturity, it usually produces one fruit per year for roughly 50 years.

So, even if you have a pineapple tree at home, you’re probably still going to rely on the supermarket for this delicious fruit!

Ingredients

• 1 ½ oz tequila blanco
• 2 oz pineapple juice
• ¾ oz Cointreau
• ¾ oz lime juice
• 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
• Kosher salt
• Pineapple wedge, garnish

Directions

• Run a lime wedge around a margarita glass
• Dip your margarita glass in a plate with Kosher salt
• Pour tequila, pineapple juice, Cointreau, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker
• Add ice and shake for a few seconds
• Strain into your salt-rimmed margarita glass
• Garnish with Tribe CBD oil and a pineapple wedge

Pineapples sometimes get a bad rap for their high sugar content. However, this tropical fruit is far from an “unhealthy” addition to your diet. Actually, as scientists continue to study pineapple’s chemical structure, they’re amazed by how many nutrients are in this fruit.

Arguably, the enzyme bromelain is the most fascinating compound in pineapples. This unique chemical seems to have natural anti-inflammatory benefits that may influence multiple bodily systems. There’s also some evidence bromelain could naturally speed up digestion in healthy patients.

However, the most intriguing studies related to bromelain have to do with its impact on eye health. New trials out of Taiwan strongly suggest a daily dose of fresh pineapple could drastically reduce those annoying “eye floaters” you may see while staring at your computer screen. According to scientists, people who eat more bromelain-rich pineapple have less chance of seeing these protein deposits throughout the day.

So, if you’re one of the countless people who suffer from eye floaters, you’ve got to try adding a little pineapple to your daily diet. Hey, you’ve got nothing to lose (except your eye floaters, of course!).
