On November 14, Plus Products Inc. (CSE: PLUS) announced that, based on Q3 2018 retail sales figures, it is the best-selling cannabis-infused edibles brand in California, the largest legal adult use cannabis market in the world. Additionally, the company’s Uplift Sour Watermelon Sativa gummy and Restore Blackberry & Lemon Indica Gummies are the number one & number two best-selling branded products across all categories in the California market, including flower, vaporizers, edibles, and topical.

The top ranking was confirmed by BDS Analytics and Headset , which monitor and report on the state of the burgeoning cannabis industry. According to BDS Analytics, PLUS unit sales grew 97% from Q2 2018 to Q3 2018, improving its edibles market position from #4 to #1 in retail value of sales.

Naturally, the news was greeted with excitement by the company. Plus Products CEO, Jake Heimark remarked, “We are grateful to the California consumers who have made PLUS the leading cannabis product in California, the largest and most competitive cannabis market in the world. This has been a big year for Plus Products as we expand our portfolio and look to broaden our geographic reach and we remain committed to offering our customers products they can trust that provide consistent experiences in delicious formats.”

On top of now being positioned as the top cannabis-infused edibles company in the enormous California market, Plus Products also produces the top-selling CBD-only gummy in the state.

The company’s remaining standard offerings are Create – a sour blueberry hybrid blend designed to boost mood and stimulate creativity – CBD Relief – which is pineapple & coconut flavored and designed to provide pain relief.

Plus Products just announced that its special holiday flavour, Holiday Bliss cannabis-infused gummies, will be available in stores throughout the 2018 holiday season. Combining the flavours of shortbread cookies and cranberry jam, Holiday Bliss is the perfect gift for the cannabis enthusiast.

Its last two seasonal offerings for 2018 were Rainbow Sorbet, which was available over the summer – with a portion of the proceeds going to support a suicide prevention hotline for LGBT youth – and Rose & Vanilla, its Valentine offering, designed to put users in a loving mood.

Plus Products’ gummies are packaged in resealable tins with distinctive labeling, each labelled Indica, Sativa, Hybrid, or CBD, and sold 20 pieces per tin. Additional products are currently in development.

Legalization has opened up a whole new range of alternative delivery options, so cannabis extract-based products are now the hottest segment of the industry, and Plus is well placed to capitalize. California legalized adult recreational use on January 1, 2018 and by April, Plus had already realized $1.4 million in retail sales according to BDS Analytics. Later that same month, the company announced expansions that will enable it to satisfy the growing demand for its branded product, and it is currently building the largest dedicated cannabis food manufacturing facility in the US, enabling $150M in annual production, with the potential to expand to $450M.

Plus Products holds the eighth temporary manufacturing license granted in California, was one of the first to introduce fully compliant products to the state, and has agreements with licensed distributors to sell its branded product to over 200 licensed dispensaries and delivery service customers.
