Several Arizona-based companies agreed to stop using television talk-show host and medical marijuana activist Montel Williams’ name in their CBD materials.

Williams, who has his own line of CBD products, sued the companies in 2017 for wrongly using his name and image.

The defendants in the settlement include Arizona-based Advanceable Technology, Beauty Strong and Snowflake Marketing as well as Timothy Isaac, who owns the three companies.

Under the agreement, which is final but still requires a judge’s sign-off, the Arizona companies agreed to stop using Williams’ name or likeness. The agreement includes no monetary damages.

A spokesman for Williams said he is still pursuing fraud charges against other companies he says wrongly used his name in marketing materials.
